All geckos sold on this site require the same care.
House your gecko in a well ventilated cage. The minimum size required to keep one adult gecko is a 12x12x18" glass enclosure with a screen top. Hatchlings as well as juvenile geckos should be kept in a smaller enclosure.
The geckos come from a semitropical forest (New Caledonia) and are most comfortable at a temperature or a range from 68-82 degrees Fahrenheit, preferring 74*F-78*F as optimal temperature. Temperatures outside the recommended range can stress/kill your gecko very quickly.
A humidity gradient should also be provided ranging from 50-80% humidity thought out the day and night. One way to accomplish such humidity range is by spraying water first thing in the morning and at bed time. Spraying water at the beginning or end of the day will allow for the humidity to evaporate in between misting times thus giving your gecko the proper humidity range.
A heat lamp is not needed for your gecko and could kill your pet if it is used. TA UV light can be used if live plants are present in the terrarium, there is no negative effect on your gecko, but make sure it doesn't add too much heat to the habitat. Digital lights can be used safely for viewing your gecko because they don't add heat/or add minimum heat to the habitat.
Feeding your gecko the proper diet is the most important part of its care aside from water.
The meal replacement formula is the most important part of the gecko's diet because it has all the necessary elements your gecko needs to thrive. We recommend live insect feeding on occasion to provide additional protein needed. Feeding live food will prompt your gecko to exercise its natural behavior and enrich its life style as well as health. Never use insects as primary food source insects don't contain all the necessary nutrients your gecko needs to be healthy.
We are here to make sure all of the geckos thrive while in your care. Make sure to let us know how we can help!
